If you’re tired of facing opponents on other consoles in MLB The Show 26, you can turn off crossplay. The method differs depending on whether you’re on PlayStation or Xbox, so follow the steps below for your platform.



For PlayStation Players



On PlayStation, disabling crossplay is simple and can be done directly in-game.



Go to the Main Menu – Make sure you’re on the main landing page, not inside a mode like Diamond Dynasty.

Open Your Universal Profile – Select your Profile Icon in the top-left corner.

Toggle Crossplay – Navigate through the tabs (R1 button) until you see Crossplay. Set it to Off.



⚠️ Tip: If the toggle is greyed out, make sure you’re not in an active online session or inside Diamond Dynasty.



For Xbox Players



Xbox users often find the in-game crossplay toggle locked. You need to disable it at the system level.



Open Xbox Settings – Press the Xbox button on your controller and go to Profile & system > Settings.

Go to Privacy & Online Safety – Navigate to Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy.

Customize Settings – Choose View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer.
