Why does my Rolls Royce AC sometimes blow warm on one side only (9 อ่าน)

I have a question that has been bothering me for a while and I am hoping someone with technical knowledge can explain what might be happening. I own a 2014 Rolls Royce Ghost and overall the car has been wonderful, but there is something about the air conditioning that I cannot figure out. Most of the time the AC works perfectly, ice cold air from all vents exactly as you would expect from a car in this class. But every now and then, maybe once or twice a week, the driver side vents will blow noticeably warmer air than the passenger side. It is not hot air, just less cold, maybe like 5 to 7 degrees warmer. If I turn the AC off completely and wait a few minutes and then turn it back on, the problem goes away and everything returns to normal. This has been happening for about two months now and it is not getting worse, but it is also not fixing itself. I have tried to notice if there is a pattern like maybe it happens only when the outside temperature is very high or only after I have been driving for more than an hour, but honestly I cannot find any consistent trigger. I asked my regular mechanic who takes care of oil changes and basic maintenance, and he said he does not want to touch the AC system on a Rolls Royce because it is too complex and he does not have the proper diagnostic tools. I completely understand his honesty. I started reading online about how luxury cars manage their climate control and learned that many high end vehicles use multiple temperature sensors, electric water valves, and a network of stepper motors to control airflow. I also read that sometimes the refrigerant level being slightly low can cause uneven cooling because the evaporator might not be getting fully saturated. Another possibility I came across is that the expansion valve could be sticking intermittently. I do not want to just guess and throw parts at this car because I know even small components for a Rolls Royce are extremely expensive. I have been searching for a specialist who understands these complex systems and found a Rolls-Royce AC Luxury Service Workshop Sharjah that mentions they have experience with the HVAC systems on high end British cars. Before I reach out to them, I want to understand better what could cause intermittent uneven cooling like this. Could it be something as simple as a low refrigerant charge that only shows up under certain conditions? Or is this more likely to be an electronic issue like a faulty temperature sensor or a failing control module? If anyone here owns a Rolls Royce or a similar high end luxury car and has experienced this kind of intermittent problem, please explain what the root cause was for you and how difficult it was to diagnose. I am not looking for a cheap fix, I just want to understand what I am dealing with before I hand my car over to anyone. Thanks for reading and for any insights you can share.
