Hi everyone, I'm still a bit annoyed about what happened last Friday and I wanted to see if this is just my bad luck or if others have had the same experience. I was leaving my house around 8am to take my wife to the airport because she had a flight to catch for work. We got into the car, I turned the key, and absolutely nothing happened. No engine noise, no clicking, just complete silence except for the dashboard lights flickering weakly for a second. I popped the hood and checked the battery terminals which looked fine but honestly I don't really know what I'm looking for under there. My wife was getting really stressed because she didn't want to miss her flight and I could feel the pressure building. I grabbed my phone and started calling roadside assistance numbers that I had saved from before. The first three went straight to voicemail saying their office was closed for Friday prayers and would reopen in the afternoon. I couldn't believe that none of them had any kind of emergency service operating on Fridays. I was about to give up and just order a taxi for my wife when I remembered that a colleague had mentioned a website where you could just click here to request help without even having to call anyone. I found the site on my phone, filled out a quick form with my location and car details, and within a few minutes I got a message saying a technician would arrive within forty five minutes. I was skeptical because every other place had just ignored me but sure enough a guy showed up in about thirty five minutes with a new battery and had my car running in under twenty minutes. My wife made it to the airport with time to spare which was a huge relief. But now I'm wondering if this is normal for Fridays or if I just had bad luck with the numbers I tried first. Do most roadside services here actually close on Friday mornings or did I just call the wrong companies? And does anyone have a reliable backup plan for getting help on Fridays when most places seem to be shut? I'd really love to hear how others handle this because I don't want to be stuck again on a Friday with no options. Thanks everyone.
